Portrait of Stuart Leach

Hi, I'm Stu.

I'm a 1L at Georgetown Law, a software designer, and a recording artist.

I've spent the better part of two decades moving between writing, music, and software engineering. These days those threads have converged into a practice that's hard to put in a single box — and I've stopped trying to.

After years of freelance development work I took a full-time role at Array, where I helped build fintech systems that moved real money for real people. It sharpened my thinking around reliability, scale, and the weight of software that operates in consequential domains.

That sense of consequence drew me toward law. I'm currently a 1L at Georgetown, where I'm exploring how technology can make the legal system more transparent and accessible.

I built Deliberize — an AI-powered legal software suite. Deliberize Verdict transforms mock trial deliberation data into strategic insights, and Deliberize Discover automates privacy and accessibility compliance scanning across CIPA, BIPA, ADA, and TCPA.

On the music side, I've been recording and performing as Leach since 2008. I'm currently finishing an album called Parasocial Butterfly. I also score films — most recently a short for Almost Friday.

When I'm not at a screen or behind a microphone, I'm probably with my cats.
